Tom Rhoads/Prostaffer/Videographer

My passion for hunting actually did'nt start with my father, it started with a good friend named Steve Nye who came to my school during the 5th grade. We hit it off right away and before I knew it, every spare minute was spent in the outdoors. I remember spending every weekend at his house going squirrel hunting, and afterwards to his grandmother's house to eat breakfast and believe me, that lady could cook! That started a spark in me that's still as strong as it was at 12 years old. Over the years, I have hunted in Idaho, Colarado, South Dakota, Ohio, Wyoming, Iowa, Tennessee and Canada for trophies such as mule deer, whitetail, black bear, pheasant, elk and hogs. Hunting kept me out of a lot of trouble as a youth. Seeing the passion that Tom King has for introducing youth to the outdoors is part of why I am with Bighorn Outdoors today. It so happens that my taxidermist for all these years has been Paul Clark. We had always talked about our hunting trips and maybe hooking up on a whitetail hunt. Two years ago, we finally got together and he introduced me to the art of videoing. I am truly hooked! I get to hunt and share my experience on t.v., who could ask for anything more? I'm 35 years old now and truly blessed to have a loving wife and a job that allows me to share my passion for the outdoors.
